What exactly is Palo Santo?
Palo Santo literally means sacred wood and, like white sage, it originates from indigenous Indians in South America. Centuries ago, they used it in ceremonies to purify the aura and heal from negative influences. In Europe, people also choose the sacred wood for cleaning their homes or simply for its purest scent. The scent can be described as warm, woody and light with a sweet touch that sometimes slips past the eyes. Compared to white sage (which is also used for the same purpose), Palo Santo gives off a very mild scent. How to use
