Blue Tansy Essential Oil, Sattva Ayurveda, 10ml

Moroccan chamomile or annual bittersweet, Lat. Tanacetum annuum, essential oil, also known as 'marshmallow'. Blue Tansy, because the essential oil is dark blue in colour. Aromatherapists always include it in soothing rituals for allergies, asthma, allergic children and adults; because of its anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, anti-itching, anti-edema properties.

(Annual bittersweet is not to be confused with common bittersweet, Lat. Tanacetum vulgare, which has different bioactive substances and different properties).

In the Mediterranean region, the wild Moroccan chamomile is almost extinct. It was first cultivated in Morocco, hence the name. The blue colour of the essential oil is due to the presence of chamazulene (20-30%) and other important bioactive compounds such as sabinene, camphor, myrcene and pinenes (alpha and beta). Uses

To scent rooms, add 1 - 2 drops of essential oil to aromatic lamps and candlesticks.

For the bath, mix 7 - 8 drops of this essential oil with a glass of kefir, cream, yoghurt or a tablespoon of salt, honey, mild oil and pour into the bath.

For cosmetics Mix 3 - 4 drops of essential oil with 20 g of any cream and use to nourish the skin.

Warnings. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use directly on skin.

Allergic sensitivity must be checked! Before using essential oils, it is recommended to check allergic sensitivity to skin and respiratory tract: mix one to two drops of the oil with 0.5 to 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and apply with a piece of cotton wool on the inner side of the forearm, the wrist or the crease of the elbow. If no allergic reactions such as redness, itching occur after a while (maximum 12 hours), you can use the oil for skin treatments.

Store in an airtight container in a cool and dark place.
