Moong Dal is Mung beans, broken and peeled. Moong Dal is a classic in Indian, Asian and Ayurvedic cuisine and is easy to cook: it only takes a little time to become soft.

The Indian part of Moong is a small, yellow oblong bean. They have a mild taste and are the easiest digestible legume, so it is recommended as a source of protein especially for vegetarians or those who eat little meat. Suitable for making with traditional masala spice mixes and basmati rice.

They are used to make thick soups, Kichari (rice and cleaned broken legumes).

"Dalas" in Lithuanian could be understood as a thick pea, lentil or bean, ie a stew of dried legumes or "dalo" (called the same word) with spices, vegetables and other condiments. Dallas is a great source of plant protein, iron and B vitamins, a rich, delicious and easily absorbed food. A well-prepared “portion” will never cause indigestion or bloating. Properly selected spices and legumes cooked for a long time and until they fall completely help to prevent this. Prolonged cooking of legumes breaks down long, difficult-to-digest polysaccharide chains, making the "parts" easily digestible and wholesome food. "Mung-dal", in Lithuanian it is radiant beans, also called mung beans. It is a great kind of tasty and nutritious legume, easy to digest, quick to pour, mild taste, giving the dish a creamy consistency.
